State Demonopolization Committee of Uzbekistan studied activities of 22 legal entities to prevent anti-trust actions in the market and limit monopoly activities. The committee said it revealed violations for 1.5 billion soums at 21 enterprises. The committee noted that 848 million soums of damages were compensated to agriculture goods producers and other consumers. State Demonopolization Committee also works on support of small and private businesses. The losses for 101.7 million soums were repaid to them. In particular, 29 small and private entities received 1.2 million, 15 farms – 6.1 million soums and others. The committee said enterprises mainly abuse their dominant positions in the market (15 cases), coordination of activities of business entities (4 cases), decisions and acts of local administrations, violating antimonopoly legislation and directed to infringement of entrepreneurs' rights.
