BUSINESS MIXER

Business Mixer on September 30, 2011

UZ-Texaco, one of the founding members of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Uzbekistan, sponsored the monthly Business Mixer on Friday, Sept. 30. The event gathered more than 300 guests and offered each participant an elaborate, exciting and hospitable evening.

The mixer was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Radisson SAS Tashkent Hotel and was dedicated to the presentation of UZ-Texaco’s new line of locally-produced products, specifically the new Prista Oil synthetic and semi-synthetic motor oils.

Donald Nicholson II, president of AmCham, welcomed the guests at the start of the evening and encouraged them to include their business cards in a drawing. Robert Horton, general director of UZ-Texaco and member of the AmCham board of directors, was next to speak.  He thanked all of the participants for coming to the event and introduced the new oil from Prista.

Horton also thanked UZ-Texaco’s Bulgarian partners who were visiting Uzbekistan – Traycho Traykov, minister of economy, energy and tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, and PlamenBobokov, management board chairman of Prista Oil Holding EAD.

Traykov also welcomed the participants and expressed his pleasure about being in Uzbekistan and at the business mixer in particularly.

Following the opening comments, guests were treated to an interesting entertainment program which included bubble tricks. A large buffet offered an abundance of salads, appetizers, desserts and a wide array of beverages, which guests were able to enjoy.

The evening ended with music provided by a famous Tashkent DJ.

Business Mixer on June 23, 2011

The June business mixer of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) was hosted by AmCham member GratArt Gallery.The mixer was dedicated to the grand opening of the personal exhibition of Akmal Nur, the NationalArtist of Uzbekistan.
The exhibition was titled “INSIDE” and showed more than 20 of the famous artist’s works produced over the last two years.
“There is a God-shaped hole in the human soul and each man fills it as he can,” was the logo of the exhibition. Many people gathered for the mixer, including non-AmCham members and guests.

Donald Nicholson II, AmCham president, opened the evening, followed by Natalya Demasova, director of the gallery, who introduced the author and passed the floor to the famous painter. Nur welcomed all participants and invited them to enjoy his exhibition.

Participants looked through several halls of the gallery while exchanging impressions and views and enjoying the in-house snacks and drinks.

May 6th Business Mixer


On Friday, May 6th, NUKEM, Inc. , one of the founding AmCham members,  sponsored AmCham Business Mixer. 

The Business Mixer kicked off the outdoor summer season of business events.

The Business Mixer, held at the Turquaz Restraurant of the Hotel Dedeman, old standing AmCham member and host of many events. More than 60 members and friends of AmCham gathered indoor and the outdoor facilities of the restaurant.

NUKEM, Inc., the sponsor of the event astonished participants by exceptional menu, music and luxurious atmosphere.

The evening was opened by Tatyana Bystrushkina, AmCham Executive Director.  On behalf of all members Tatyana thanked NUKEM for sponsoring this event and for long lasting support of AmCham in Uzbekistan.
 
Alex Michshenko, NUKEM, Inc.  and AmCham BOD members welcomed all participants of the evening and invited them to  enjoy  great weather, exceptionally delicious food, music  of the  Business Mixer.
