Membership in AmCham Uzbekistan is open to both major corporations and small businesses alike (American, Uzbek and others) that have direct links to American business interests, contribute to the development of business climate in Uzbekistan and are willing to participate in all AmCham, in Uzbekistan activities. Approval of membership resides with the AmCham Uzbekistan Board of Directors.

To join AmCham in Uzbekistan please kindly copy the application form and fill it; send the original with the attached copies of the registration documents to the AmCham Office to be considered by the AmCham Board of Directors.
When the application is approved by the Board of Directors, your company will be duly notified by the AmCham in Uzbekistan office.
Management Structure
The AmCham is managed and directed by a nine members of the Board of Directors, which includes four officers: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Purpose
The AmCham seeks to support the business interests of our member companies in several ways, including:
Providing information and education on the legal and regulatory issues that affect business activities in Uzbekistan.
Maintaining a dialogue with the Government of Uzbekistan on a wide range of issues that affect the business community and pursuing a cooperative approach to improving the investment climate.
Broadening understanding of how foreign investment activities make important contributions to economic growth, employment, education, and technological development in Uzbekistan.
Communicating with U.S. Government officials regarding the political, economic and business environment in Uzbekistan and the issues affecting the daily operations of foreign investors.
Activities
AmCham activities serve to facilitate members’ business operations in Uzbekistan via holding monthly meetings with prominent guest speakers, representing the business or diplomatic community, organizing monthly business gatherings for networking purposes.
In the past 5 years, our guest speakers have included the Uzbek Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the American Ambassador to Uzbekistan, World Bank, ADB, EBRD, UNDP, honorable Ambassadors of different countries and consultants of State Tax Committee.
We also organize events and meetings with visiting delegations including U.S. Government officials, Members of Congress, and think tanks. In recent months, the AmCham Board of Directors has met with the U.S. officials and a delegation from the Department of State. We have hosted receptions and other events in honor of several visiting government and business delegations.
AmCham Working Committees
The bulk of the substantive policy work prepared by the AmCham is generated through our committee system.

Special Events
Additionally, the AmCham sponsors several social events to provide networking opportunities to our members and promote greater interaction between the AmCham and the official community. Each month, the AmCham organizes a Business Mixer that is held at a local restaurant or a member's home or office. The AmCham also sponsors major social events surrounding the July 4th and celebrations. These events are open to the entire expat community and Uzbek Government officials.
