THE TRADE & INVESTMENT COMMITTEE

Mission

To promote favorable T&I climate in Uzbekistan and to facilitate the entrance of potential investors to Uzbekistan
Goals:

•    To inform the government about the problems that foreign investors face in Uzbekistan and encourage the government to resolve those problems.
•    To introduce new ideas to the government on improving T&I climate in Uzbekistan.
•    To inform potential foreign investors about the investment climate in Uzbekistan and offer them basic information on business operations in Uzbekistan

Objectives:

•    To identify problems that foreign investors encounter in Uzbekistan.
•    To work out the recommendations for the government on resolving those problems.
•    To present recommendations on improving the investment climate to the government officials, parliament members and various interested organizations through individual meetings, forums and seminars.
•    To identify the priority projects, the development of which would lead to the improvement of the trade/business/investment climate in the country (for instance, EBP project, Corporate Governance, etc).
•    To introduce those projects to the government and involve it to the maximum degree to participating in those projects.
•    To prepare articles for the Business Connections Newsletter on T&I issues in Uzbekistan.
•    To meet with potential foreign investors and provide them with basic information on investment climate in Uzbekistan.
•    To arrange a section on AmCham website on T&I issues in Uzbekistan.
